I just wanted to say that this is a great site. It helps me keep up on how my baby brother, Derek, is doing. Derek is a great guy and I'm just very proud of him. It seems like he is well liked in Grand Prairie and I appreciate that very much. It's been a great ride watching him play for so many years. I've added a few pictures of his niece playing fastpitch softball. She's pretty good too and plays with the same fire on the field that he displays. It's safe to say her uncle has had a slight impact on her development, but don't tell him that. It's good to see that the community supports the team. I try to listen to the games as much as I can. This year should be a great one!

Hi Joanne,
I'm not sure if I helped him with his approach when coming up to bat. I will say that Derek, our two other brothers, his niece, and myself like to hit. Maybe it's that enthusiasm that shows. A booster club for the team would be great. He's not really down with the Facebook thing. It's more for old men like myself.

Hi David,
You're right about Big D being a favorite here in Grand Prairie. Did you help him develop that unique approach when he goes up to bat??? I saw that he has a page on Facebook but he called me to let me know that he's not on it much. We were going to discuss the AirHogs Booster Club that I'm trying to establish, but we haven't connected yet.

Hope you make it out to Texas sometime soon, before it gets intolerably hot!
